A Second Chance

Chase cheated on Jessie. Jessie and Chase were dating for over 2 years and they did everything together. They lived together, ate together, slept together and most importantly were happy together. They had a perfect relationship, but even that is not enough to beat the power of temptation. Chase decided to be unfaithful to Jessie on a night out with his friends.

Chase felt absolutely horrible, It was a drunken mistake that meant nothing to him. He decided to tell Jessie the following day. Jessie was destroyed, she thought that her and Chase were locked in, she never could have believed that he would do something like that to her.

Jessie decided to go to her mothers house to talk to her and ask for advice on what to do. “Why would he do such a thing?” Jessie’s mom said. Jessie and her mother had a long conversation and had to dig deep to find out how much Jessie truly cared about Chase and if she wanted to forgive him due to his intoxication. Meanwhile Chase was alone at home feeling like he was stuck in a hole of sadness and guilt. He had begged Jessie for forgiveness that morning, fallen on his knees and cried to Jessie pleading for her forgiveness, and had been calling and texting her all day, to no response.

Jessie wanted to forgive him but it was hard and she could not stop picturing the image of Chase with another woman. After a while of Jessie staying at her mother’s house, Chase decided he was done grieving and he was going to get Jessie back. He realized if he truly loved Jessie with his entire being he was gonna win her back. He showed up to Jessie’s mothers house with flowers, her favorite foods, and a written out letter telling Jessie how much he loves her and how he doesn’t want to lose the most important thing in the world to him. She was taken by surprise and broke down in tears by how Chase hadn’t given up hope and had truly shown her that she was the only person who mattered to him. She gave him a second chance.
