Light blue and Me
A color like me
My hobbies, my views.
Light blue describes me.
Basic but can be portrayed differently.
It’s different but still blends.
It reminds me of the sky.
Like me, its casual and calm.
Light blue is my friend,
Were cool and different.
We are underestimated,
Light blue whispers, not raising its voice.
Speaking more of wisdom.
This blue and I are short,
But speak tall.
When we socialize, were friendly.
WHen we mix with others,
And If it’s the right mix,
It can make a pretty, cool purple

Sunflowers
She’s beautiful
Her pale yellow hair
Wrap around her dark complexion
She’s tall and skinny
Wrapped in silk, green dress
She’s withered at night
Waiting for her mother sun
The bring her light

Winter
I am like winter cold and most of the time a hassle
But i am also bright and fun
I can be a bit overwhelming at first
but get to know me and i can be kinda useful
I can be a mess some days
But be a beautiful sight on others
I can cause immense chaos
But i can also put a smile on peoples faces

Mockingbird
I am a mockingbird
Except I’ve lost one of my wings growing up
Therefore
I am the oddity out of the many
There are too many stories written about those others
Those others that are like me
One day
Possibly and someday it’ll be “tomorrow”
I won’t have to sacrifice myself
To the cruel words that still bring me sorrow
Then one day
I can copy your call to bring those alike to me
All the way back to me to prevent the
Trauma you handed
Then finally
I am going to be done telling the same colors of my feathers and my wings
To those who still destroy them to this day through countless weathering
Maybe one day
I will not be caged
And learn how to walk under one wing with my mother
Who slowly uncaged me

Just like a tornado,
you tear up everything in your path.
Just like a thunderstorm,
you are loud and electrifying.
Just like rain,
one drop is a kiss on my forhead, but
just like a tsunami,
your wave knocks me down.
Just like a volcano,
you erupt in deafening noise.
Just like a hurricane,
your winds rip up my foundations, but
Just like a snowstorm,
you are beautiful,
and I’m obliged to love you
no matter how much it hurts.

I am like a broken record,
playing the same song over and over,
never changing
my habits
my jokes
my peeves and pleasures,
except for the occasional
blip, skip, or scratch
that gives the record some individuality back.
I am a broken record
playing the same song over and over,
You may like my song at first, but
eventually I’ll drive you mad,
force you to put your earbuds in and
listen to a new song.
I am a broken record,
playing the same song over and over
very few can bear to listen to me
day after day,
but those that do
are priceless.

Winter
A simple snowfall
On a cold quiet night.
Only lit by faint moonlight
And I can’t help thinking of
This field that I am laying in
Molded to the ground by snow and sins
Expecting peaceful serenity
But instead, embrace a loud calamity
The ringing my ears strive to make
Cause the ground around to quake
A single flake amid the storm
I fail to see that it’s the norm
To finally look upon the snow
Reflective of its dull white glow
That now enlightens me enough to know
That while the world is dark
And steady as she goes
Like a solemn ship on cold, quiet sea
I am swept by the calamity of the oncoming snows
A noise so loud yet so quiet at the same time
I struggle to sit down and make up my mind
To sit here and write this to find my kind
Who stare into the white abyss and start to hear rhymes
To hear a sound by sight alone
To topple mother nature on her icy throne
If you don’t get this, then I’m afraid you’ll never know
How it is
To hear
the snow.

Home by Nataly Wilson
Home is in your head
Home is in your heart
Home is in your arms
Home grabs your hand
Home is a maze
So long, so repetitive
Home is a maze
So long, so confusing
Home is scared of me, I think
Home runs away from me
Or I might be run away from her
Home makes me feel so warm
With her soft hands she wipes my tears
A gentle kiss stains my lips
With a bitter after taste
Home is running away from me
She smells like caramel iced coffee
But tastes like alcohol
She moves me with her empathy
But alas I can not recall
I’m running away from home
Home is dark
Like midnight in the forest
Everything seems so peaceful
But she won’t stop stalking me
Home is like a hungry wolf
Hungry for my blood
I want to run away from home

Just like water
I am a mystery
I can make a big impact
In many different ways
Rain,
Pour,
Storm.
The difference is intensity
I can be a big problem
Or a tiny inconvenience
Water is a source
Of life and transportation
They use me like they use water
A one way benefit
A the others drown
Water can be dangerous and safe
It has potential of destroying
But is also a home
I am water
Potentially problematic,
An overall mess,
And always ready to cause a storm.

I’m the sunlight.I see hope, the good in people
You’re like the dark clouds you see the truth, you know who are good and who to stay away from
I’m the pie in the sky idea, there is a chance that it works,However I always land on my face
You’re the realist, know how the world is and how its works
I am young, full of hope and dreams
You’re old, full of wisdom and stories that you need to share with the world.
I’m reserved trying to hide everything from the world
You are like the loudest guy in the world, shout every feeling, thought to the world.
Though we might be different in every other way
when we are together it’s fun,
When we are together we’re unstoppable
When we are together we can take over the world.

Me, Myself, and I
See words dash across my mind
Leaving thoughts of all kinds behind
Me, Myself, and I
Once asked my friends a question
To which I only remember being
Branded the most selfish person
Me, Myself, and I
Don’t remember I asked
To which my friends responded
Like a person had been murdered
Me, Myself, and I
Do remember the words in my mind
Words which quickened, quickened
As they left all sorts of thoughts behind
Me, Myself, and I
Asked, is it selfish to put yourself before work?
Despite having responsibilities to this Institute,
I also have a responsibility to take care of myself!
Me, Myself, and I
Asked, is it selfish to put yourself before others?
Despite knowing others have sickening feelings,
I have my own I must adhere to!
Me, Myself, and I
Asked, is it selfish to save yourself?
Despite wanting to save you, I need time.
Time to save myself, not you.
Me, Myself, and I
Might be selfish… but the words have quieted
As they pick up the thoughts they left behind
Me, Myself, and I
Love myself too much
To see me fall for you

Fall
By Liticus (Pen name)
A massive minefield of broken, mangled mounds
Under the tall, solitary branches of childhood.
The fallen generation.
Unless some choose to live, in which those
Mounds do not last long.
Numerous souls are temporarily revived by the wind.
Scuttling along, several feet at a time,
Until they become trapped, with nowhere to go.
Continuing on, the wind leaves the corpses and husks,
Killed by The Destroyer of Ages, as well as their parents.
So many of them become lost and forgotten.
When the time comes again, for a new generation to be
Incepted, they will not know of their inevitable demise.
No survivors will be left.
Their souls then move on to more things.
Every one of them struggles to
Return to the source of their livelihood
In every generation, there are a few who choose to rebel
Such is life, as everything will be
Before the day ends, those souls will have lived their lives
Even like you and I
Tomorrow, they will rest peacefully, soundlessly, until
They dissolve into the ground, the grass, the dirt, and
Even the very air we breathe
Returning to where it all began.
Boy Crazy
Don’t hit up my phone
I rather be alone
What you want is known
I’m too grown & the same
“Relationships”
Have been shown
These boys only think of us toys
They make it seem like that’s their only joy
If you think i’m going to be
You’re whore
You can walk out that door
I’m tired of feeling stuck on the floor
Every heart break it pours,
Wishing that I could of been more.
Only yours
But I know you have other victims and just how,
You picked them
Two days later
You’re done then you ship them
You move on to the next
Cause all you want is sex
Pretty soon i’m going to get that
Late night text
But now it’s time to reflect
Why all this unneeded disrespect?
I shouldn’t bring myself down
All these boys have been with the
Whole town
Now i’m focused on bringing myself out
From under
And i’m better than ever
Showing that i’m strong
And all these dumb boys are always
Going to be wrong
So dont hit my phone
I much rather be alone

Poisonous
Kayla Murrey
Long lithe limbs attached to glossy black stilettos make their way across the floor.
Smooth is smokey silk wrapped around the figure,
She wades through the mass of bodies.
Hypnotic is the intoxicating scent
It dances alluringly through the air with effortless grace, permeating the senses, targeting the nerves
Poisonous is its effect on the passersby.
Captivated by it they fall, madly, intensely, excruciatingly slowly, in lust.
The touch of lips against skin, caressing one another
Predatory like a snake, the lovers stalk, entice, and ensnare each other.
This fatal attraction is a hypnotic poison.
