May 2

A sole ruler.

A Princess Tale

Raina, beautiful and elegant, a true princess. Her kingdom reached wherever the light touched. A crown full of ginormous jewels rested on her head. Yet, her crown had not come easy. For blood had been shed to allow her to sit on the throne. Sticky and sweet was her chalice full of wine, she swallowed.

A journey.

A trail of gravel

Leads up the cobblestone path.

Guiding the explorer to the castle.

Her.

“Who are you meager mortal?” her booming voice echoed as she spoke.

“I’ve come here to learn from you, Your Majesty,” the explorer said.

Bloodshed and War

“The bodies were never ending. We laid waste and pillaged the enemy’s resources” She spoke.

“Why?” The explorer simply asked.

“I had to. I needed to protect my crown” Her Majesty explained.

“But did so many need to die?”The explorer continued.

“Yes,” She concluded.

Sanctity within.

A lesson learned, those that waged war against her soon found out.

They had killed her mother and father. They left her an orphan.

Her stake on the crown was powerful enough to thrust her up in the world.

A world of war,

She was so young, only 15 when she lost everything.

But now, she has peace within her wide realm.

She is loved and cared for.

A queen in her own right.

An undisputable, God given right.

Grief.

Her majesty wept over her parents.

Every year her emotions overwhelmed her.

Unable to fathom the hole left in her heart.

Yet she had her kingdom. People to mend the hole.

Maids and butlers,

Courtiers and ladies in waiting.

She was no longer alone.
