Begging for Our Love to Be Alive

I pressed my nose to her cheek; my fingers tangled in her hair.

I was only beginning to process her presence.

Begging for our love to be alive, I tilted my head to where my lips would meet with her skin.

Her eyelashes fluttered at my touch.

Her flesh was fresh, and heavy with warmth.

The opposite of how it felt the day before, while she laid in a casket.

I like how your story is short but it still has an interesting, unexpected end to it. I also think the title is really good and it drew me into the story.

I love how short and sweet your piece was, it seemed so passionate, and the end line enhanced that feeling. 🙂

Whoa – big twist there at the end. The title did a great job hinting at this, but I love how you built up to it in this short piece. It makes me want more!
