Nba Youngboy Blackout Writing

Nba Youngboy interested me because I like a some of his songs. I want to study it because of the versatility of his music with the angrier rapping and the melodic more relaxed songs. Nba Youngboy is an artist that has been making music since 2017

Kanye’s Lyrical Genius on Graduation

Kanye’s Lyrical Genius on Graduation

The reason I choose Kanye and his songs on his album Graduation is simply because I like every song hes made on that album. Kanye’s lyrics sound good, make sense as he uses references to explain things, and sometimes he adds a little comedy in his song lyrics or puts skits in between songs. The production is amazing and Kanye’s instrumentals make you feel as if you’re floating. Graduation to me is better then any album I’ve every heard having kept me engaged throughout every song. Kanye has done such an amazing job on Graduation and I hope to show you why it’s my favorite album.

Golden Shovel Poem

Can’t Tell Me Nothing

To Whom Much Is Given Much Is Tested

I look forward, but what To?

I watch and wait but for Whom?

I’m not asking for Much

Just a sign, a voice, anything of something that Is

I reach for something that’s not yet been Given

Maybe I am asking for too Much

But I still pray for a reason to believe what is, Is

Something to keep my faith from being Tested

kalama wawa: The Inspirations of the Songwriters of toki pona

toki pona is a language with nigh on 140 words. It was created, in 2001, by a linguist and philosopher who is called Sonja Lang. It has a small community, and a strong literary tradition, featuring several notable artists. It is based around a philosophy of minimalism and optimism, which reflects in the poetry and music in the language. Having been a member of the community for over a year now, I feel the need to do some documenting, of these artists’ styles, and their influence on the language and culture.

Mentor Text 2:

telo sewi

telo sewi is part of a more obscure toki pona album, titled mu wawa, made by jan Opa. mu wawa features, in my opinion, some of the most eloquent and moving literature in toki pona, and I truthfully could have done my entire project on it.

telo sewi is a description of waking up in the morning during a thunderstorm; The name itself means “rain”.

The wind howls outside. The house creaks and rattles. The rain beats on the roof. The storm deepens, moving to the third stanza. The sounds draw them from sleep. They get out of bed, and walk to the door. They look outside:

“your house comes into a ray of sun.”

Fear Street Character Connections

“The truth shall be your curse”

The untold story of my life.

Truth will be found in this web of lies.

Shall I keep on going?

Or just be quiet?

I won’t be quiet.

I won’t be your secret.

Does it get lonely,

Down in the cave?

Plotting on your prey

While I toss in the grave.

You can cheat all you want

But I will  still haunt

This wretched town

Where I laid my curse down.

Character Twists in A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder

Character Twists in A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder

ORIGINAL PIECE:

The project was due next week and the case wasn’t getting any easier. For their criminal research class they had to try to solve a recent cold case in the area. Jess had been doing all the work and Carly had only shown up to the first meeting where they only talked. They were assigned a missing persons case of a young girl named Trish. Carly always had homework, or family things.

“The projects due soon, can we work on it tonight”

“I can’t, I have to go to my brother’s concert”

“All good! Maybe tomorrow?”

“Maybe”

Jess was starting to get annoyed, so she decided to work on this case herself. The deadline was coming up and they only had one suspect. Jess decides to go online and stay up all night looking through police reports and news articles. She starts to realize there is a consistent hole in each report. Why was Trish outside at 3:00 am? Jess needs to find a motive for her to leave the safety of her own house. She scrolls through Trish’s instagram and finds a post about her mother passing away. She notices a picture of her mom in the back of Trish’s phone case in every single mirror picture, until her last post three days before she went missing.

“Hey Jess” her sister walks in

“Hey? Aren’t you at your concert?”

“No? Our concert is next week.”

“Brandon, Carly’s brother is in your band class right?”

“Yah, why?”

“Nevermind”

The next day at school she runs into Carly and she immediately shuts off her phone. Jess asks Carly how the concert went, “It was fine, just a normal middle school band concert, I guess we can work on the project, we can try to find something about the picture” Finally they have a chance to make progress on the project.

Then it clicked,

Jess never told Carly about the missing photograph

The memories flash back, Carly had always been busy when she wanted to work on the project

She made up the concert being last night

And she did look uneasy when they were assigned that specific project.

Carly wasn’t entirely innocent

Lyrical Drake

My project was about Drake. I chose Drake because he is one of my favorite artists because he has music for every mood. For my project I studied his lyrics and music videos and what they actually mean.

In the world of beats and rhymes,

Drake’s voice echoes through the times.

With stories told beneath bright lights,

He sings of love, of fights, of nights.

From Started From the Bottom he reflects,

A journey born from hard connects.

Climbing high he reached his dreams

Turning struggles into silver streams.

In Marvin’s Room he shares his pain

Of heartbreak that feels like endless rain.

Late night calls with memories to unfold,

His lyrics are real, not just bought or sold.

God’s Plan shines a hopeful way

With kindness in the words we say.

He talks of blessings lifting others up

A message of love in this world is corrupt.

In In My Feelings he dances and plays

Yet deep down he knows life’s twisted ways.

Questions of loyalty and who to trust

In the game of fame it’s a must.

Drake bares his soul with every tune

Mixing joy and sorrow like night with the moon.

From Toronto’s streets he found his voice

His lyrics make you think they give you a choice.

A poet of our time he’s more than a star

His music connects us no matter how far.

He speaks of struggles real and raw

Bringing light to life’s unspoken law.

With each new album, he takes a stand

Crafting anthems that resonate across the land.

Whether it’s about love, pain, or bouts

Drake’s words remind us what life’s about.

So here’s to Drake with clever flow,

Navigating life’s twists, watching it grow.

In every heartbeat in every rhyme

He captures our futures and connects our time.
